It is my pleasure to invite you for a conference on co-existence of genetically modified (GM) and non-GM products in the EU on 19 February 2015 in the Bildungszentrum Freising, Germany (near Munich). This conference will mark the end of PRICE, a research project funded by the European Commission’s 7th framework programme.
PRICE PRICE is the acronym for PRactical Implementation of Coexistence in Europe. The project started in spring 2011 and focused on:
1. Economic analysis of coexistence practices in Europe;
2. Assessment of biological and physical containment strategies;
3. Development of Decision Support Tool for coexistence in practice;
4. Assessment of coexistence implications in international and EU supply chain.
The conference The conference will not only provide you with an overview of the results of studies done in the context of PRICE, but will also offer opportunities to discuss different scenarios for coexistence in the supply chain, stakeholders’ views that have been captured in a number of short film portraits, and hands-on experience with a tool for local coexistence management.
Registration We do not charge an entrance fee for the conference but you are obliged to register. Registration is open until February 15. To register, please fill in the registration form on our website and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Venue The Conference will take place in the Bildungszentrum Freising which is situated in a former Bishop’s residence. Freising is close to Munich’s airport Franz Josef Strauss and easy to reach public transport.
The Bildungszentrum has a only a limited number of hotel rooms and has no more rooms available for this date. You will therefore have to book a room yourself at one of the hotels in the neighbourhood. Instructions how to get there and information about hotels is also available on the PRICE website.
We are looking forward to welcome you in Freising on February 19th,
Justus Wesseler, PRICE project coordiator
