The final report on the evaluation of Directive 2001/18/EC(1.5 Mb) with a particular view on GM crop cultivation in the EU has now been made publicly accessible. The main contractor for this study was GHK Consulting (Andrew Jarvis, Mavourneen Pieterse) in association with Technopolis and with inputs from Erik Millstone, Andy Stirling, Armin Spök, Huib de Vriend and Piet Schenkelaars. An Executive summary (1.8 Mb) is also available.

Simultaneously, the European Commission published the final report on the evaluation of Regulations 1829/2003 and 1830/2003 concerning GM food and feed.  An Executive summary of this evaluation report is also available. This report was prepared by Agra CEAS Consulting with inputs from Civic Consulting, Van DIjk Management Consultants and Arcadia International.
